Description:
18c Alcoholism. You can beat it! Anti-alcoholism Campaign 1981.

Founded in 1935 by two alcoholics, Alcoholics Anonymous is a voluntary group where alcoholics meet and provide a support network for one another. Today, Alcoholics Anonymous has over 2 million members. This stamp was controversial – many feared the recipient of a letter bearing a message about alcoholism would take it as a sign the sender questioned their drinking habits.
